The addition of quartz sand not only enhances the pipe’s mechanical performance but also reduces costs, making it more economical than pure FRP pipes. FRP mortar pipes also feature a smooth inner surface for efficient fluid transport, ease of installation, and long service life. They are widely used in chemical processing, municipal drainage, water supply systems, and other pipeline projects. When manufactured with food-grade resin, they are also suitable for potable water applications.

Key Characteristics
1. Lightweight, High Strength, and High Stiffness
The FRP mortar pipe is composed of inner layer, wound layer, resin-mortar layer and exterior corrosion-resistant layer. With a density of 1.7–2.1 g/cm³(about 1/5 of steel), while its structure ensures excellent mechanical strength and rigidity, especially for buried applications.
2. Outstanding Corrosion Resistance
The inner resin layer (up to 80% resin content) reinforced with fiberglass is tailored to resist various corrosive media, ensuring long service life and leak prevention.
3. Excellent Hydraulic Performance
The smooth inner surface (roughness coefficient n = 0.0084) minimizes friction loss, maintains high flow capacity over time, and supports cost-saving smaller diameter designs.
4. Safe for Potable Water
Made with certified food-grade resins, the FRP mortar pipe is hygienic and approved for long-term use in drinking water systems.
5. Impact & Deformation Resistant
Positioned between rigid and flexible pipes, it can deform under external force without cracking or delamination—withstanding deformation up to 25%.
6. Abrasion Resistant
Inner surface made from high-wear-resistant resin improves abrasion performance and extends pipe life.
7. Excellent Cold Resistance
Can operate in temperatures as low as -40°C without cracking or performance degradation.
8. Environmental Adaptability
Suitable for challenging environments—coastal, underwater, mountain, desert, swamp, etc.—with easy installation and long lifespan.
